Just a little note to let you know that I love my job today. (I love my job most days, but definitely today). Today I show the world my incredible, unbelievable, mindblowing over-acting skills. I will be filmed anchoring December's Etsy News, which will be broadcast probably next week in the Storque, Etsy's online magazine. Keep your eye out for it. I'll be the uptight lady in the prissy blond wig.
OK, and here is the tiny sketch that inspired the much more detailed drawing in the last post. I post this knowing that I risk revealing that the raw, quick, simple first version might be in fact better (more energetic and strong) than the one which took me like HOURS. I don't know. Depends on what you are into. Anyway, I just made a little gocco print out of this little baby, and I am going to use some of the prints as little thank you cards in my wondercabinet orders, and I am going to take about 10 of them and do some crazy handpainting on them for my shop. You know, with all that free time.

I posted this to wondercabinet today. I made here while at the Vermont Studio Center this summer and haven't been sure if I could part with her before now. I did some serious tiny ink work there, little delicate drawings with lots of little ropy shapes, and lots of what Paul Klee called "taking a line for a walk."
