I finished my little trio celebrating organs/systems of the body. This one is based on the womb, of course, and celebrates my 28-week in-utero child's newfound ability to dream. But I think it can be about the creative process at any stage of life.

The other two are based on the lungs (Breathe Cry Sing) and the Heart (Laugh Fight Kiss).

pattern designs from daily drawings

i am obsessing over hand drawn patterns recently. today i scanned in some daily doodly drawings and started playing with them in photoshop. they aren't quite repeatable as patterns yet...

Wanna see some sculptures?

I have finally recommitted to compiling as much of my artwork from the last 10 years as possible on my Flickr photostream. For now, this means uploading lots of photos of my sculptures from 2004-2007 - mostly architectural constructions with miniature worlds inside,electrically lit and visible through peepholes. I'll be adding more every few days. Go check them out!

Little color and flower studies

My mom visited, and I took a welcome break from the bigger projects and just played with color while she and Korben played some epic games of Scrabble.

I have been looking at some beautiful books on textile design lately too, so I extracted some of my favorite flowers from some very old embroideries and weavings and made little studies of them.
